Col Preston Plous is currently serving as Military Assistant to the Assistant Secretary of Defense, Special Operations/Low-Intensity Conflict and Interdependent Capabilities. He has some experience in USAF Special operations, including command of the 67th Special Operations Squadron. Col Plous was an instructor in the F-111F, MC/HC/C-130, and MV-22. He holds both Pilot and Navigator aeronautical ratings.
