Right now, the MSM news channels are forcing themselves away from their incessant coverage of “Super Tuesday” to cover the death and destruction from tornados and severe weather in Tennessee, Arkansas, Kentucky, and Alabama.  Reports that 48 have been killed with Union University in Jackson Tennessee hit very hard, but apparently, disaster drills and prior planning as well sirens announcing the impending onslaught probably saved many lives, AP story here.

Last night, I heard a couple of MSM news channels discuss the fact that severe weather was impacting the elections and that some were taking refuge in voting places.  And if you can believe this, Sam Donaldson said (and I’m paraphrasing the best I can because I almost threw up) he (Sam Donaldson) would use the polling boxes as shelter and maybe use those hanging chads as protection.  Disgusting, while severe weather was hammering our fellow Americans, he’s cracking jokes. The MSM had news crews out in force, lots of personnel and computers on duty, and lots of other resources busy on the election returns.

Imagine for a second, that instead of covering the elections last night, one network said, “we’ll report on the elections in the morning, but right now, we are shifting all of our resources and efforts to analyzing the weather, warning those possibly affected, and helping in the recovery”

Just imagine how many lives could have been saved or people warned.
