Once again, our friends at the Small War’s Journal are ahead of the curve with their link here about the new Marine Corps Center for Irregular Warfare site here. I have not been through the whole site but do recommend taking a look at the very detailed Power point brief here called IW 101, a very large but exceptionally well done brief with lots of organizational charts, in depth background, and excellent quotes.
As we in the West continue to grapple with the threats we face and how to deal with them including proper force structure, policies, and use of force in the world, this new initiative should help provide some clarity. We wish the best to this new organization. Yet again, the Marines are willing to create new organizations to deal with the challenges we face.
